Welcome, one and all, to Shaman’s Antics.
I am presently working on writing my first book of poetry in the hopes that it will be ready for publishing by 2028. Titled Under the Aegis of My Ancestor, the book is autobiographical but also quite thoughtful in nature and combines poetry and prose to tell my story. I will keep you all updated on how it progresses and hope to delight you with it once it is published.
In the meantime, please enjoy instead this blog, where you will find poetry and short stories as well as prose pieces through which I hope to share some of the insight and wisdom I’ve gathered over the years. I welcome you to explore this space and invite you to leave comments or reach out to me personally if you want to discuss the ideas I explore herein.

Updates on Under the Aegis of My Ancestor:
As of June 28thth 2026, I have composed a bit over 120 poems, most written between 2020 to 2025. I’ve elected to keep only my 52 most relevant, highest quality and/or most preferred to place into the book. The poems are, for the most part. Of those 52 poems, only 5 remain to be written. They are also, for the most part, quite excellent (in my humble opinion) but about 10 of them require further editing in order to be at the quality standards I deem fit for public consumption.
The prose is struggling to take flight. After many years spent struggling to put words to paper, I’ve reached a point where it hurts significantly less to write about my feelings, experiences and thoughts. That said, poetry comes to hand more readily than prose does, for me. Still, I am slowly going through my poems and composing their associated prose pieces.
All in all, I have high hopes that I will be done writing and editing Under the Aegis of My Ancestor by Summer 2028, after which I’ll be on the hunt for a publisher! 😊
