I take this time to also mention that I am presently working on writing my first book of poetry in the hopes that it will be published by 2028. Titled Losing With Grace, the book is autobiographical but also quite thoughtful in nature and combines poetry and prose to tell my story. I will keep you all updated on how it progresses and hope to delight you with it once it is published. In the meantime, please enjoy these miscellaneous poems that didn’t quite make the cut for the book.
Updates on Losing With Grace:
As of April 4th 2027, I have pruned the 90ish poems I have written since 2025 and kept only the 52 most relevant, highest quality and/or that I prefer to place into the book. The poems are, for the most part, complete with only 7 remaining to be written. They are also, for the most part, quite excellent (in my humble opinion) but about 10 of them require editing in order to be at the quality standards I deem fit for public consumption.
The prose is well on its way – after many years spent struggling to put words to paper, I’ve reached a point where it hurts significantly less to write about my feelings, experiences and thoughts. Slowly but surely now, I am going through my poems and composing their associated prose pieces.
All in all, I have high hopes that I will be done writing and editing Losing With Grace by summer 2027, after which I’ll be on the hunt for a publisher! 😊
